Welcome to 2012
Hey, is it cool with everyone if I just skip the part where I apologize for not posting any blog updates in the last half a year or whatever? It is? Cool, thanks guys. You know, imaginary readers take a lot of criticism, but they're alright in my book. Very compliant, very forgiving. At least on the outside anyway, no one is really sure what they're thinking. And for the record, I am absolutely not just saying that because they represent the majority of my readership.
Anyway I just wanted to welcome you all into the new year. 2012 should have some very fantastic Festingotivities in store. Can't think of any off the top of my head, but we'll be doing stuff. We always are.
Despite my entrance into the world of 8 hour work days, I assure you Los Festingos are still fully operational. We're constantly Writing new songs, experimenting with new sound mediums, and gently feeding the flame of comical ingenuity that keeps this band at the forefront of untainted and undefinable music.
Early January always carries with it the feeling of the start of a voyage. You can see Port 2011 fading into a distant silhouette backed by a mellow sunset. Ahead the seas are enigmatic and enormous. And yet we journey ahead because the wind wills it. The wind, and the spirit of adventure. So lets join together and hoist anchor for whatever lies in that glistening, moonlit horizon. Wherever we wind up, we'll be laughing.
